About me
I am a highly motivated and dedicated individual who is willing to learn and grow within my workplace. I have been at BTL-UK for over a year and have developed a wide range of skills that include resolving problems quickly and effectively, I have enjoyed working within a tight knit team of experienced sales people, and found confidence in asking them questions, and building a good relationship with them as people which has led to more confidence and improved my interpersonal skills. I hope to bring these skills to a company like yours. I have strong interests in History especially antiquities/ancient Egypt, Norse mythology/Vikings and Medieval England especially the Plantagenet’s), films/film making (my favourite films are by Luc Besson the Fifth Element is one my top 5), reading (I enjoy comic books, Sci-fi, fantasy and mystery novels.) I also enjoy photography, music (I don't have a specific genre) and I also enjoy gaming/card games (these include strategy/puzzle adventure games and games like McMoo and alliance). I do a lot of days out, especially with my son We enjoy going out to museums, parks, beaches, zoo/aquariums and calm walks to local woods or Tilbury Fort. We also enjoy going to leisure centres to participate in sports such as football, tennis, swimming and gymnastics.

    BTL-UK LTD is a UK & European manufacturer and global distributor of Bearings, Power Transmissions, Linkages, and more. My responsibilities at BTL-UK LTD are to mange and keep track of new potential sales leads that come through our website and advertising campaigns, through a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software called HubSpot. I also managed the company’s social media platforms such as, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Another role of mine is deigning and making advertisements such as, posters, leaflets, social media posts, marketing emails, and designing product packaging etc. Another key responsibility of mine is assisting the sales team by processing orders on the company’s web shop. I receive, import, process, book out, and finally send acknowledgements to customers regarding their orders. Also, I answer customer enquiries, problems and sales orders both on the phone and via email. I manually put in orders, and/or quotes on our database and then book them out to our customers or send out relevant information on the items they would like to order, for example if we have enough in stock, lead times, back orders, costs of items and shipping. Furthermore, I also assist in over-the-counter sales. This may be for customers wanting to collect or for customers who have a product they want but are unsure of what it is they really need. For example, someone has a belt that was from a mower that has broken. They will come into us and we would take the belt to measure it, and find the correct or closest size belt we have in stock to sell to them.

    For the last five years I have been committed to raising my son Andrew, he is currently 5 years old and has started fulltime education so this leaves me free to get back into work. Although many people don't see parenting as a job, it has taught me many skills that I can use in the work place such as, time management, organisation, negotiation skills, conflict resolution, empathy, money management, leadership, emotional control, planning and multitasking, empathy and working under pressure.
