My placement at Diamond Holidays lasted throughout May to August 2016 and December to January 2016/17. During this time I gained valuable experience working in an office environment, as well as acquiring many new skills. Below I have listed my job roles and responsibilities whilst working at Diamond:
- Creation of reader offer brochures using InDesign – these are 4 page, 4 colour, single tour brochures sent out to clients in response to them having enquired about a holiday from seeing an advertisement in a newspaper. I created these using a template from supplied text and images
- Creation of a range of advertisements using a variety of templates using InDesign for display in regional newspapers
- Proofreading of advertisements and checking amendments prior to advertisements going live
- Loading copy on to our reservations system
- Sizing images for web use and loading them on to the relevant tour so that they appeared online
- Collating brochures and covering letters to send to newspapers
- Loading products for E-shots
- Partaking in weekly meetings with the Marketing team

Alongside my studies, I have been a member of St Andrews Snowsports committee since April 2015, undertaking the roles of Social Secretary (2015-16), Vice President (2016-17) and President (2017-18). St Andrews Snowsports is the largest sports club enrolled with the University. We attract around 400-500 members per annum. We also organise a ski trip to the Alps for approx 300 students every January, where we collaborate and liaise with a larger trip company in order to provide our members with the best possible trip experience. St Andrews Snowsports also has two successful competitive teams in both race and freestyle, who attend national competitions such as BUDS and SUDS, as well competitors attending BUCS in the Alps over Easter.
I have also been working one to two shifts per week alongside my studies in a small but busy independent coffee shop in the town centre.

A Levels in Fine Art (A*), Critical and Contextual Studies (A), and English Literature (C) Oakham School

I studied my A-Levels at Oakham School from 2012-2014. Additional activities include representing the school in fixtures for first team lacrosse, first team squash, and the school polo team. I also participated in a community service trip to India throughout August 2013, where Oakham worked in partnership with the Doon School, Dehra Dun, to help set up a school in a small village in the foothills of the Himalayas. Throughout this project I aided in teaching the children English, as well as learning a couple of phrases in Hindi!
