I am a Creative Director specialised in moving image, literally anything moving from animation and film to social media contents and immersive & interactive design platform.
My intention is simple. To lead a creative team that together designs outstanding experiences and produces exceptional films and visuals that in some way, big or small, innovates and improves the world we live in.
After pioneering and innovating new ways of communicating and connecting with information, audiences and experiences for over 10 years in academia as Head of Moving and 20 years in the industry as a Filmmaker, I wish to apply my craft and expertise in my field to address contemporary challenges in society.
Since 2007 I have inspired the best hybrid graphic design students in the country to resolve complex problems of communication in an economical and inventive way. Together we have created a memorable impact, using immersive and interactive moving image media ranging from photography to films, animations and interactive digital lab medias.
I designed ground breaking art exhibitions to successfully introduce innovative ideas to a wide audience. Through films and visuals, I curated and produced interactive live events and devised talks and briefs for students and clients alike, spreading the word about how creativity can inspire social change and ultimately the paramount importance of storytelling for successful communication.
I graduated from one of the most prestigious film school in the world, National & Television School (UK) with a Master Degree in Animation Direction and obtained a distinction for both live action and animation.
My background is film direction / script writing / production / animation direction and SFX/VFX supervision. I won 3 Golden Awards at the 2006 Kodak Commercial Awards, best international short fiction film at Tehran Short Film Festival 2006, Best Visual Effect at Animex Awards 2007 and was nominated at Cannes 2007. My films were also selected at many other international short film festivals. I was also the head of moving Image at Central Saint Martins and senior lead tutor and many of my students won major awards such as D&AD and other film festivals.
