Postgraduate from UCL with a Masters degree in: ‘United States: History and Politics’ (Distinction). Achieved marks requisite to be subsequently honoured on the Dean’s List. Academic Writing: Achieved a distinction for a dissertation of 15,000 words, alongside multiple essays. These works of scholarship required a deft handling of sources, and engagement with prior literature. I frequently achieved marks which meant the works were regarded as commensurate to publishable quality. Commended for originality, depth of argument, and strong thematic engagement. Archival Research: Awarded funding to spend two weeks at the Reagan Presidential Library. Worked with hundreds of potential sources and filtered them for utility. Many of these had never been used by researchers before. These included personal correspondence, speech and meeting transcripts, and presidential directives. Integrated these into my dissertation and achieved a distinction grade.
