I am an ambitious, approachable and versatile member of account management, currently working as an account executive in a fast-paced digital marketing and advertising agency in Oxford. My strengths lie in leadership, exceptional organisation and communication skills. Prior to this, I obtained a 2:1 undergraduate degree in English Literature and Language from the University of Leeds. In my 3rd year I completed a work placement year within a marketing department for a direct to consumer business.
At present working as an Account Executive for an advertising and marketing agency which specialises in Pharmaceutical digital communications (B2B). - Undertaking proof checks, consistency checks and quality control of both print and digital campaigns (including iDetails, videos and websites). Once built on the platform, undergoing thorough testing and checks of iDetails for full functionality before sending the files to the client as well as a full review of final item prior to finalisation and deployment. - General administrative duties including management of multiple projects, briefing and supervision of digital team, and constant liaison with client at all stages. - Financial management of multiple accounts including regular account profitability review, using Traffic LIVE to create estimates, invoices and review budgets. - Extensive use of specific software such as Zinc, including uploading projects for medical review and sourcing and marking up medical reference papers. - Providing assistance to Account Managers, Medical Writers and working closely with the studio to meet client deadlines.
- Worked as a PR Intern and supported multiple accounts by undertaking administrative tasks, juggling various projects and helping to organise upcoming events for different clients. - Combined a detailed report of marketing workshops and communication conferences that the company should consider attending in order to gain new business. - Returning to the company for further 2 weeks in the summer by assisting on the production of a sponsorship event. Sourcing materials, models, photographers and locations for clients. As well as proof checking and editing interview scripts for the presenters, which required a highly organised and punctual mind-set and great attention to detail.
- Undertook a yearlong placement as a Marketing Project Assistant and helped to support the launch of the new direct to consumer business. - Monitored the competitors’ products and tracking the progress through the internal database, which required good attention to detail and recording of key product features and marketing approaches. - Working closely with the lead agency VCCP by developing creative work in support of the launch and challenging timelines. This work helped shape the development of the creative style and into early direct response executions across press, inserts and digital. - Created a strategic review of social media and developed ideas on potential approach for Royal London. Analysed the use of social media website such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn in the financial services industry. - Assisted with the development and editing of the internal website, produced my own email campaign and analysed the activity using analytical software. - Attended and organised branding events for the launch of the new Royal London image in the UK and attended insight council meeting in order to collect and review any outstanding research across the group.
- Shadowed a graphic designer and account manager of a creative branding agency that specialises in commercial products. - Assisted with a number of client presentations as well as created a strategy for a new account and presenting the creative ideas to the Account Manager. - Gained insight into digital product branding by shadowing a graphic design and gaining an introduction to software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
Graduated with 2:1 honours and a Work Placement certificate Studied a range of modules including Contemporary, Modern, and Medieval Literature as well as acquired an in depth knowledge of critical theories in poetry, prose and theatre. Undertook a digital publishing module and obtained an introduction to HTML and XML coding whilst encoding a transcript and publishing the content online on the university library website.
