About me
Journalist with experience working for Norway's largest public service broadcaster, Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) across radio, online news and TV. Other media publications and institutions that have published my work are: Vårt Land, VG, Tønsbergs Blad, Forskning.no, Nationen, ScienceNordic, NARMA and Østlands-Posten. With a passion for cultural and creative industries, I am now undertaking a MA in Arts and Cultural Management at KCL. I have also work experience in PR and communications, event management and promotion. I am able to produce clear, concise and insightful material, plan, prioritize and complete work accurately in a set time frame, and conduct insightful research with good attention to detail. I have built large international network within the field of journalism, art and cultural industries from living, studying and working abroad (Norway, Australia, England and Russia). Knowing three languages fluently (Norwegian, Russian, English), I will describe myself as a cosmopolite who is extremely curious, creative and ambitious who will give 100% in order to achieve my goals. I believe my work experience and my ability to adapt to everything new enable me to handle any work environment presented to me. Recent achievements: - Published by Nordicom in the research anthology 'Negotiating Journalism. Core Values and Cultural Diversities' (my chapter: 'When Caricature Meets Resistance'). The anthology examines journalistic core values and how they are perceived and renegotiated in Bangladesh, Norway and Tunisia (October 2017). - Received three scholarships; from The Foundation Thomas Fearnley, Heddy and Nils Astrup for my KCL-education (2017), from The Nordic Press Association (NPA) as one of ten Norwegian journalists under 30 years (2016), and from Shared Horizons for writing my bachelor thesis 'When Caricature Meets Resistance' (2015) supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
