About me
Evan Baul (like bawl) is a double fraud and a cross-discipline visual designer. In an endeavour to apprehend whatever design may be as well as how people could relate to it and particularly to my work, I do borrow elements from a plethora of disciplines to achieve is missed and make it accessible. An aura of sentimentality is significant with aesthetics being prominent as well as the use of fundamental, disguised metaphors and references. Black and white or pastel colours and luminous extravagant shades may be in harmony and contradiction in parallel inside and out of a machine. Pathos and passion for "reconstructed" or "fresh" in order to create, reform and connect all the interesting territories from handcrafting to graphics, photography/videography to sculpture and what is broadly considered a no-fit. Or your designer next door. est. 2012

Started off as a furniture consultant at the flagship store and shortly after jumped onto the visual merchandiser position where I found myself enjoying, learning and developing in a field I had limited knowledge on. Soon enough I gradually started becoming an expert and be trusted by my line manager who also sent me out to support other stores including the opening of the new mini Habitat in St. Albans, the first of many, sub-stores within the local Sainsbury's superstore, where I took crucial decisions for and as I had completed my 'electrical wiring & safety for stores' seminar I also helped to put up the store lights and spotlights. Everyday tasks from assembling furniture or moving around stuff to planning, always keen and available, first to assist either in my department or at the back of house or even on the shop floor, providing my very best performance.
