Started off as a furniture consultant at the flagship store and shortly after jumped onto the visual merchandiser position where I found myself enjoying, learning and developing in a field I had limited knowledge on. Soon enough I gradually started becoming an expert and be trusted by my line manager who also sent me out support other stores including opening up a brand new mini brunch in St. Albans, the first of many, sub-stores within the local Sainsbury's superstore, where I assisted but also made crucial decisions for and as I have completed my 'electrical wiring & safety for stores' seminar I also helped to put up the store lights and spotlights. Everyday tasks and not so ordinary from assembling furniture or moving around stuff to achieve always keen, available, first to assist or make it happen either in my department or at the back of house or even on the shop floor serving customers, providing my very best performance at either giving opinions in regards to decorative questions or just be wherever needed.
Simple yet important changes on the basic layout of the webpage and dozens of layouts of online fashion photography editorials was the everyday pleasant routine throughout my time at the office.
A great experience at a great studio with great jobs to work on. I had the opportunity to collaborate with Sam and Eddie or Eddie and Sam alongside with Sofi Azais on big brands and presentations of upcoming works such as "Harlow & Fox" lingerie, "HIDE" restaurant, "Play With Fire" restaurant and more. I focused on illustrating and graphics which was what the studio needed at the time.
Spending a month next to the creative team of "Big Fish", as a graduate, I had the chance to discover more about the British design industry. I learnt, by helping the designers with everyday tasks important for presentations to clients, how to follow the brief but also giving a personal taste to it too. During my placement at the studio I practiced researches about brands on current fields the team was working on, I gave ideas on subjects they were struggling with and also solutions on projects or works such as the "YEO valley" the dairy brand; constructed quite a few mock-ups for "Tyrells" and "Dorset Cereal" and made layouts and test printings for the same brands. In addition to all above, I helped the team with everyday internal or personal projects.
International organization for arts, based in London. Learn, Live, Love; that described Nitroglicerina. People with roots from around the world formed the team which was always up to something new to impress but also spread knowledge. Language, culture and life lessons were the main tasks for Nitroglicerina to teach the public regardless of the age, the gender or the religion and the skin. After the first and very successful performance in central London in 2014, the team participated in numerous festivals including the "Fringe" festival (Edinburg, Scotland) and galleries selling out at all times. Flyers, posters, booklets and communication were what I dealt with or anything else that was needed.
Worked for clients such as "The George Economou Collection" and "French Institute of Athens" focusing on designing either seasonal brochures and agendas or exhibitions' flyers and advertisements. Doing different kind of print jobs as books, logos, brochures, folders, as well as web banners. Assisting or working on my own for new brands ("Serendipity Patmos - luxury residencies") creating new logos, company identity applications and branding work.
