Volunteer at V&A Theatre and Performance Department

I have recently begun volunteering at the Victoria and Albert Museum, in the Theatre and Performance Department. Here, I am spending a day a week assisting with the busy preparations for the Spring Performance Festival. This includes liasing with performers, marketing tasks, and also practical arrangements for the upcoming events.

For the last few months I have been working part-time at a newly established, up and coming café in Coulsdon, South London. The café has a specific focus on environmentally friendly products; all packaging is made from recyclable and biodegradable products. Working in a small team for a new business has been an enriching experience; across the weeks, we have seen the business grow and become highly popular. In this role, I have been serving barista coffee and preparing simple food, for which I received Level 2 Food Hygiene training. I have learnt valuable skills in this position, multitasking different tasks and providing warm and friendly customer service. I also, along with the rest of the team, have worked to perfect the design and layout of the small but cosy space.
