I am a passionate content creator with a deep love for storytelling, blogging, and film. With a degree background in the Digital Societal Sphere, I explored the power of TikTok and its media affordances, analysing its algorithms and their impact on learning and engagement. Additionally, my two years of front-of-house experience at a luxury hotel have sharpened my organisational and multitasking abilities, preparing me for the fast-paced demands of the Media and Entertainment industry.
Creatively, my solo travel experience to Jamaica inspired me to develop a freelance Travel Blog and Website, where I share my adventures and insights. I also maintain an Artwork Portfolio, showcasing my ‘Kingdom Collection,’ a series of intricate biro pen drawings.
My career aspirations lie within the Media and Entertainment industry, particularly in Digital Marketing, Campaign Design, and crafting engaging narratives for TV. I designed and crafted some Marketing promotional posters to showcase the experiences we offer here at Lainston House.
In the previous financial year, the 'Mother's day' and 'Easter' posters facilitated exposure to a wider audience generating further revenue for our hotel.
The 'Lainston House Experiences' poster design is located in our reception foyer in eye-line of different demographics. The combination of the integrated QR code allows both website analytic tracking with the aim of reaching both our digitally native and digitally immigrant audience. Once scanned, the QR code directs the user to our website- simplifying and conveniently portraying our message to a larger demographic through visual technology.
Lainston is not only is an astounding place to work with staff members who have become some of my best friends, but it is a place that allows me to deepen my interests, showcase my design work and develop as an individual both professionally and personally.

As part of the Exclusive Collection group the role entails continuous communication between departments, managing guests' accounts, handling and organising enquiries within the Sales, Reservations and Events departments while maintaining guests' physical and emotional well-being throughout their stay. With active problem-solving being a crucial aspect in delivering exceptional five-star service, quick and effective solutions to any issues that may arise ensure that each customer's experience is seamless, enjoyable and altered towards each guest's reason of visit. In a fast-paced and high-pressure environment, this type of creative personalised service is essential to maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. The role entails but is not limited to:
Tom Hamblets 2024- MasterChef Winner Residency at Lainston House- with an increase in business and new consumer demographic, part of my role consisted of hosting and adjusting marketing strategies towards new audiences while developing relationships with the fine- dining team to ensure exceptional service.

In three-years at the Russell Group University, a variety of knowledge has been gained. ‘Cognitive Psychology’ explored the cognitive processes of writing for those with the learning disability dyslexia while creativity was expressed in modules such as ‘Curriculum Design’ which steered away from traditional societal practices. Other modules explored included: ‘Special Educational needs’, ‘Leading and Managing’ and ‘Research methods in education’ through statistical analysis (a full list of modules are available on request). Also, non- education based modules have been completed such as Global Health, areas of Psychology and Science, involving Stem Cell Research and developing a Social Enterprise. The Degree diversified my mindset and led to a successful independent Research Report.
First- Class Dissertation: 'Does the Social Media Platform TikTok provide Educational Affordances for learning: an Explorative study'.
My original research idea utilised the well-respected theory of ‘Experiential Learning’ to examine how TikTok’s individualised algorithms might allow us to move beyond traditional methods of information delivery in educational settings. The findings were positive, revealing that TikTok’s unique processes effectively provide personalised educational benefits tailored to individual interests.
