Boring Stuff: 1st class Commercial Music graduate, Recording/Mix Engineer and Guitarist in A Place For Rivals.
Experiences: Went travel mad after a semester abroad, in the Netherlands, which led me straight to a spontaneous year working/living in Australia! Can't wait to experience more of the world soon.
Industry Experience: The experience I have gained over the last 5 years has been very hands on and is directly tied to various sectors of the music industry; Ranging from live events, performing, recording/studio experience to music industry related research for the book “Artists Management in the Music Industries”.
Music: Currently attempting to navigate this covid landscape to release an exciting project me and my fellow bandmates are working on. Fun things coming soon!
Projects
- A Place For RivalsA Place For Rivals is a Glasgow based rock band, consisting of Sam on drums, Conor on vocals, Ewan on guitar, Jack on guitar and Jimmy on bass. They meld hard hitting punk and grunge riffage, raw blues vocals with poetic folk lyricism. Over the last year the boys have been writing and creating their unique sound. Debut record (Hillside) will ease the listener into their world. Enjoy!

Part time stage crew work. Involved the setting up of stages from large to small scale events. Most notably staging at the Hydro in Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games as well as a multitude of music events.

Was in involved in the set up of conference style events. This included, sound, lighting, and setting up staging. Notable events I worked on, were the Cash for Kids charity event as well as a Honda Car exhibition.
