About me

I am Ethiopian born, London based aspiring director. I graduated in Media (Film) Production at Staffordshire University, and as a result have experience in managing multiple aspects of a single production. My passion lays in telling real stories, whilst blurring the lines between fiction and reality. My work is deeply rooted in my interpretation of social issues that revolve around ethnic minority groups, such as western beauty standards and mental health within the black community.

• Curls UndoneCurls undone is a short film exploring the insecurities and issues that black women face throughout their lives. Everything from relaxing their hair at a young age to being told they have a attitude problem in a work environment. Dealing with stereotypes and westernised beauty standards, this film shares the real live views of these women. “Black women are always being told we are too loud in a world that never listens to us.”
