About me
Since graduating from Bournemouth University with a 2:1 in Politics & Media, I have been developing my skills through my own project: Sonic Advisor. This is a satirical multi-media publication that aims to parody popular electronic music sites such as Boiler Room and Resident Advisor, with all of the content including design, music, videos, and articles all being written and produced by myself and co-creator George Hopkins. We are currently working on a pilot episode for a new sketch-based comedy series. I have experience in TV from my time working at What Larks! Productions as a development researcher. This role mainly involved working on a documentary about Virago women's press and history of the women's movement for BBC4. I helped research the film and also conducted archive research and transcriptions of key contributor interviews including the likes of Jon Snow (Channel 4 News) and Margaret Atwood (The Handmaid's Tale) as well as running activities across town delivering tapes and primary source material between the production office and edit. Whilst in Bournemouth, I also got involved with the university broadcasting by appearing as a political pundit on various shows including the marathon 2015 General Election all-nighter and eventually an interview slot for a segment on BBC Radio 5Live about ideological bias among university lecturers about Brexit.
