Working as part of a fast-paced publication and being a key element across all the fashion and beauty cupboards at Grazia. Standard responsibilities included being on top of emails from PR's and Fashion Assistant's who would often send tasks, such as grabbing links for the 'Online Shopping' section available on the Grazia website. Towards the end of the week, we'd be asked to source the links to the shopping pages, using a PDF sent over with the information of the brand, price, and website we'd browse the internet looking for the correct item and create a word doc with the links. The Features Editor occasionally need help to transcribe interviews, simply requires us to listen to the taping of the interview, which was either sent over via email or given their Dictaphone, and type out everything that was said. Check the post room regularly throughout the day, usually every two hours unless told otherwise. Collect deliveries only for the Grazia Fashion team and occasionally the Beauty team, remove any barcode sticker and register the code into the book provided for the post team to then log into the system. Identify packages that could be gifted/personal and place those of the individual's desk. Shoot samples also came through the post room and when unpacking everything needed to be registered into an 'Incoming docket', state where the items came from and what exactly was in the delivery with a description including the number of items, brand, item type, colour, material, and recognisable features, then unpack the bags and hang on railing making sure all hangers and items are facing the same direction. Pre-shoot the Fashion Assistant and Stylist need help packing the 'edit' into suitcases as well as making sure the Stylist's kit bag is packed along with any rail or steamer that is needed.

A placement with the ITV “This Morning” Fashion Production team. Working alongside Fashion Assistant and Fashion Producers. Responsibilities varied Monday-Friday. Monday: Help the Fashion Assistant to make sure that the fashion cupboard is tidy and ready for the appointment delivery in the afternoon by organizing the shoes, jewellery, and bags and doing any press returns left from the week before. Collect the clothes delivered and bring everything up to the fashion cupboard to be hung on the rails. Tuesday: While the main Fashion Team style models, I tidy the cupboard as there may be filming going on later in there. Once the “Real Women” are back from rehearsal we write down information on the outfits (brands and prices), I then steam and remove all tags from the clothes and accessories so they are show ready. Once ready I accompany the team to the studio for the live fashion item, where I assist with styling and observe the show. Wednesday: The same as Mondays. Thursday: The same as Tuesdays. Friday: Every Friday there are 2 Fashion Shoots on location. My responsibility is to assist the Fashion Producer/Assistant, unpack, steam the clothes, buy lunch and pack up. I then return to the studio with everything used on the shoot and deliver the hard drive to either the library or the fashion office.
