    Italian Language Intermediate 2Dante Alighieri
     - Siena, Italy
I enrolled on an immersive Italian language course with the Dante Alighieri Language School. Here I progressed from Elementary to Intermediate in the space of a month, covering all four disciplines (speaking, listening, writing, and reading). Living with an Italian family in Siena broadened my understanding of the Italian culture and further improved my communication skills. Spending over a month in Italy enabled me to partake in many cultural activities, indulging in my interests of Art History, cookery and drawing. Learning the Italian language is an ongoing passion and project I am pursuing.

Introduction to Art History (Short Course)Courtauld Institute of Art
     - London, United Kingdom
This week-long short course enabled me to satisfy a deep curiosity I have with the history of art, covering various ‘periods’, ‘movements’ and ‘isms’ by which the history of Western art is conventionally structured. It allowed me to further develop one point of interest I have within Art History, which is the connection between audience and artist, and furthermore, the work and the space within which it stands. This was a subject I discovered at university during the development of my thesis, sparking further investigation.
