About me
Fern Berresford is a London based director and photographer. A storyteller with work spanning across film, music videos, TV commercials and photography. Fern’s work combines clever concepts with beautifully bold aesthetics. She has a witty and distinctive visual style, often creating quirky characters that belong to the weird and wonderful worlds she constructs. A winner of the British Journal of Photography's Female in Focus AwardsThe British Journal of Photography's 'Female in Focus' award is purposed to discover, promote and reward a new generation of women-identifying and non-binary photographers around the world. Female in Focus was born to help create the conditions for change by driving awareness, producing resources and promoting female talent. Two images from my 'Time to Reign' series, 'Crisps' and 'Queen' were selected as winners and went on to be exhibited in New York.
  • Time To Reign
Time To ReignTime To Reign is a photo series that comments on the cyclical nature of fashion and trends. Celebrating the reprise of 90s sports fashion infused with a regal baroque aesthetic. Working class meets high art. Merging the old with the new to create something that we’ve never seen before. The photographic series aims to raise questions about the subjective nature of fashion and the ever changing qualities of popular culture and trends. ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ The series has been published on Vogue Italia & Hunger Ma
