As the lead artist and art department coordinator, I organised art resources, created cost lists and made orders accordingly, through correspondence with my manager. I created session plans, examples and demonstrations for the participants and ensured everyone was having fun. Staff briefing, debriefing, deligating tasks. Writing weekly summarisations and monthly reports. I had the opportunity to liaise and collaborate with fellow community organisations, artists and volunteers as a part of our projects. It was a great accomplishment to encourage young people to build their confidence, develop and showcase their skills and most of all have fun. As well as ensuring the young people had fun during the sessions, it was my responsibility to safeguard them and be a role model. Facilitate respectful conversations and activities that encouraged fun, learning, team building and independence. Working at InSpire London allowed me to grow as an individual through cross-community engagement and the autonomy to re-establish the weekly art club. These experiences inspired me to take fulfil one of my dreams of taking my passion for creativity abroad.
