I am a young artist/designer seeking to expand on experience within exciting creative industries.
In my personal time, I created and run the fashion label CANDYATOM. We make unisex streetwear influenced by Sci-fi and Japanese popular culture. o My role is not only to design each collection for RTW which we showcased at LCM in January 2016, but also the street/casualwear line which is sold online o I also run all the social media platforms and the general admin.
o In charge of running the entire store from opening to cashing up in the evening o Managing up to 7 employees in a busy central London location o Frequently updating the in-store displays and mannequins based on the window display theme, new items, and hot sellers o Responsible for reporting on street trends, informing customers of online competitions and promotions, and taking in-store photography for the brand’s web presence o Often awarded for highest sales and best customer service given
As Studio Manager o Ensured the day-to-day running of two separate studios o Interviewed and hired interns to aid the head designer and head of PR o Presented the SS14 collection at Zip Zone during PFW and built relationships with buyers and press to build new relationships and awareness of the brand o Assisted with the organization and participation of the SS14 Press Day at UKFT As Print Designer o Researched themes to complement the AW14 collection and from that created a collection of repeat and placed prints from hand-drawn and photographic elements o Attended meetings with the head designer and created alterations from the discussions As Design Intern o Hand-sewing and preparation of the SS14 collection o Organisation of models and dressers for the SS14 LFW catwalk show with Fashion Scout
