Working as part of the production team, I make technical drawings, and I produce CNC machined components essentials to the delivery of the projects. • From the concept ideas and drawings of the creative department, I make technical drawings of the windows and sites installations. Advising on feasibility of concepts in terms of manufacture and costing. The drawings are evaluated and signed directly by international Retail/Beauty/Luxury clients such as Selfridge, Harrods, Fendi and Tommy Hilfiger. • 3D modelling of display and exhibition items such as plinths, wall panels, cabinets and shelves. • Making of technical drawings with assembly instructions for the workshop workers (carpenters, metalworkers and spray painters). • Producing CAD/CAM files to be cut with the in-house 3-Axis CNC or outsource for laser cutting. • In charge of the production with the in-house CNC router. Production of parts using several materials such as MDF, Foamex, Dibond and Plywood.
Actively contributed from ideation to production to the client's projects and involved in the daily running of the studio and workshop. • Participated in the development and delivery of the helmet for Jay Kay of the Jamiroquai band showcased in the music video Automaton. Designed in Rhino and Grasshopper, produced in the studio with 3D printing technology, soldered motors, LEDs and wires to the parts. • Assigned to design a parametric design sculpture for a client installation. Using Rhino and Grasshopper, I developed a Voronoi surface with the ability to change dimensions of cells and junctions. The creation is under manufacture stage. • A concept project, consisting of circles that spin and create lighting effects had to be produced and delivered to the client in one week time. I have been assigned to set up and build a system for hanging the rings to the ceiling and allowing the movement. I designed a gearbox including MDF laser cut panels, a motor and 3D printed parts. The system assembled all together worked, and the projects have been displayed during a music festival in Mexico. • Use of 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC milling, and soldering processes. Use of hand tools and solvents for model making and post production process.
