My role at Balcarras School was varied and ever changing, from being responsible for a 30 strong student production team to providing support for teaching staff KS3 music lessons.
My primary responsibility was organising and assembling (months in advance) equipment and sequences for school theatrical and musical performances. This involved rigging and patching LED stage lighting and AV equipment, designing and recording lighting for scenes, and working with directors to best bring their imagination to life on stage. In order to perform this role effectively, I had to delegate responsibilities to students and other staff members.
I was based in the music department where, outside of stage work, my main responsibility was recording student's GCSE and A-Level performances, compositions and group work. This role allowed me to further my Knowledge of software on Mac OS (on which I am fluent) such as Logic Pro and Cubase.
