The Royal College of Physicians offer educational resources and events for healthcare professionals. I am responsible for organising and marketing conferences and events. I also create content to promote the work of the college, including interviews, documentaries and competitions.
Event duties:
Liaise with speakers, including key political and medical figures such as Professor Chris Whitby and Matt Hancock.
Attend conferences and events, ensuring that speakers are comfortable and the AV team have all the information required to stream the event.
Marketing duties:
Regularly create social media campaigns, targeted newsletters and paid advertising to promote events internationally.
For bigger conferences, create marketing plans and work with external teams such as animators and film producers to make engaging content that promotes the event.
Ad hoc duties:
Project managed the production of an obesity documentary. Worked with high profile interviewees, the film crew and stakeholders within the college to create an informative, engaging film.
Worked with web developers to create RCP Player, a medical streaming service that hosts our digital events. Ensured all areas of the Player were user friendly and visually appealing.

Created a bus stop gallery that showcased art born out of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Worked with artists to collate the art, organised all the logistics and got hands on, making the gallery.
Captured photos and video footage, later turning it into a short film of the project.

Created a film that explored life after lockdown, asking people what would be the first thing you do after restrictions were lifted.
The film was shortlisted for the Marbella International Film Festival’s ‘Grounded’ category.
