I’m a hard-working graduate looking to branch out into the PA/Team assistant world and also build upon the skills I have gained in all my previous roles.
This is a voluntary role in which I assisted a start-up swimwear brand with their overall strategy including operational organisation, distribution and marketing. I was responsible in helping to organize the companies launch event, in which 25 fashion bloggers attended with an overall following of over 500,000 people. Since then I have accrued a number of responsibilities including relationship management with influencers and assisting with market research, mood boards and location scouting for campaign shoots. While the founder was away I was also given full responsibility of the brand for three weeks, where I have assisted in the distribution of product to clients and dealt with general customer queries.
Assisted with the organisations overall creative marketing strategy, in charge of social media channels, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Responsible for building relationships with influencers and suppliers, attending brand events and sampling sessions for content creation, coverage and consumer engagement and driving brand awareness amongst influencers and consumers.
Within this role, I gained data entry experience managing large excel spreadsheets within the production team where I controlled the quantity of product being processed for styling. I also assisted in the coordination of product shoots alongside gaining valuable office and administrative experience. This role provided experience within a busy working environment enabling me to balance multiple deadlines.
During my internship at RainbowWave PR I gained marketing experience within a fast-paced agency. Responsible for office administration, monitoring relevant media coverage, assembling press kits, and fielding telephone calls rom the media and clients.
My camp America experience taught me a lot about work ethic, time keeping and contingency planning. Within this role I delivered water sports classes to a large number of children. I gained management and organisational skills in making sure that the different personalities in each class felt like part of the team and were having fun, while also learning a great deal. This opportunity as shaped my confidence speaking in front of large crowds.
Within this role I was responsible for sales, visual merchandising and customer service. I thrived working in a busy, customer facing environment, which enabled me to enhance my communication, team work, time management and complaint handling skills.
During my internship at Devetta PR I was able to enhance the skills I already have as well as learn new ones. The task that were given to me were always done with precision and hard work. Being in a small team I was able to learn in detail the work that goes into Press reports, organising coverage and getting to know names in the industry.
I assisted with send outs, press collections and magazine archiving. I was located in the showroom, dealing with VIP and celebrity requests and gifting. At Ralph Lauren I was given an independence that sharpened my multi-asking, precision in details, communication and international affairs.
This course presented several opportunities to enhance my presentation, organisation, visual and written report writing skills. I gained an insight identifying current market trends and market insights, with access to global forecasting tools like WGSN and The Future Laboratory, graduating with a varied portfolio of traditional and digital media.
