My university course focuses on development of specialist skills in the creation of visuals and graphics for digital solutions such as web and mobile applications or motion graphics.
Studio-based projects have allowed me to acquire the necessary technology skills and user-centred design thinking needed to create design solutions that are functional, concise and visually pleasing.
Modules such as User Psychology has allowed me to design solutions that truly answer the needs of the user by using carefully select and considerd typefaces and imagery, as well as creating bespoke design assets. I have gained a deep understanding of how design can have a social impact, and how I can use my design skills to help tackle challenging issues facing todayʼs society.
Finally, this course has provided me with opportunities to work with external industry experts and partner with enterprise, that have allowed me to work on real and stimulated briefs that have ensured I experience the culture, pace and demands of the design industry.
