As a Commercial Photography graduate, I have developed a fastidious eye for detail and have advanced my creative ability in multiple areas. Performing various creative roles with each project, I now have an understanding of the collaborative skills within the whole process of production. Throughout university, I undertook multiple projects simultaneously which required excellent time management and the ability to multi- task from one creative project to another in a pressurised time frame. I now embrace the challenge of a fast-paced environment and enjoy the pressure of deadlines. In the last several months, I have embarked on my biggest challenge yet; setting up my own creative business. Not only has it pushed my creative abilities, but also my business thinking. I have great personable skills which I have utilised in the gaining of commercial clients and through this, most importantly, have kept happy clients.
Being a co-founder for a start-up company, I perform many roles for this business.
I operate as the lead photographer, retoucher, creative director, animator, graphic designer, video assistant, stylist and social media manager. Performing this variety of creative roles alongside the business management has rapidly advanced my entrepreneurial skills as well as my creative talent. Within this role, I utilise all the disciplines learnt at university and have developed my own skills through self-tutorial to cover the other disciplines demanded by the day to day running of a business and the requirement to 'do it all' in-house. This has transpired in a seamless approach to the projects and cost effectiveness to the clients.
