About me
I am an experienced Senior Project Manager for one of Londons leading events company. Over two and a half years, I honed and perfected my project management skills overseeing projects from concept to completion; producing events within the private, public and corporate sectors with a strong focus on concept and design. I was used to working under significant pressure, single handedly managing large-scale budgets (£100k+) with extremely demanding clients and multiple stakeholders.
After two and half years, I decided to take a year and pursue something else close to my heart. Last June I moved to Calais and became heavily involved with running emergency aid operations for Refugee Community Kitchen in the Calais 'Jungle' refugee camp. I spent the last six months in Paris where I founded my own grass roots project ‘Solidarithe’ - empowering refugees sleeping on the street with legal and practical information as well as a comforting cup of tea. I am now moving
back to London and looking to continue my professional development in the world of events and hospitality and am looking for my next project.
Whilst working at Themetraders I built and fostered a large client base of companies, venues and private clients over the years. Always thinking creatively for ways to develop the franchise and bring in new business, I spearheaded innovative initiatives such as partnering with venues and suppliers to bring in alternative revenue streams. I also started a strong push for the company to become more sustainable, by offering waste materials and leftovers online. During my time at Theme Traders, I brought in a huge number of performers and suppliers in an attempt to rejuvenate the company and keep the events up-to-date with the latest trends. These contacts were brought in from my network that I’ve built over the past 8 years in events and hospitality, working for the likes of The Disappearing Dining Club and Camden Council.
