As Design Assistant I managed the implementation of the concept design for the acclaimed
Hide restaurant-Mayfair.
Key stakeholders/Client - Prepared and presented creative concepts and detailed sample boards to The Clients.
Procurement – Effectively negotiated costs with suppliers and artisans to remain within budget
Relationship management – Briefed, liaised and collaborated with suppliers for all bespoke furniture and finishes from concept sketches to completion and delivery
Specifications – managed full sample specification cycle, from research, testing, sampling to client approvals for hard finishes, sanitary ware, decorative ironmongery, lighting and ornaments. Guaranteed fit-for-purpose in commercial environment.
Communication – Generated, updated and communicated all design schedules to project board, engaging in a collaborative culture.
Project officer - Provided site support to project managers, contractors and Clients by leading creative alternative solutions to site conditions and budgets maintaining high quality standards. Engaged on-site for sign offs on behalf of the Clients, managed suppliers deliveries and installations in a fast passed environment.
Delivery - The project was on budget and on time, achieving successful delivery of £500k+ FFE
Finance – Programmed and instructed payments to FFE suppliers with external Accounts team. Positive time management skills safeguarding design tasks kept within project budget.
WeWork Festival 08/17
Management & Delivery – Kites concept to technical review of hanging structures. Hands-on making to completion on festival site, sourced materials, managed out-sourced skills and supervised small team for on-site installation of dayspace bar. Project realised with small budget in 5 days.
