4 Month Rotational Internship (salaried)
Salaried intern at the world’s leading international shipbrokers- selected as one of three successful candidates from over 2,000 applicants.
Rotation through principle broking divisions including Sale and Purchase where I was exposed to direct sales of multi million pound assets.
Direct client experience in negotiating deals face to face across a global client portfolio.
Servicing brokers and departments with specialised market reports for dissemination to clients, including analysing statistical data, identifying opportunities and market trends.
Represented the company at industry seminars, networking events and client hospitality events to develop relationships with existing clients and identify potential new clients.
Direct verbal and written communication, lateral thinking and negotiating with key clients.

Introduction to shipping/ shipbroking Internship
Vessel operations assistant. My role was to support the broking teams which primarily involved mapping vessel movements and monitoring global cargo demand across a broad range of dry bulk commodities (e.g. Iron ore, steel, coal, cement and grains).
I also assisted the research team in delivering bespoke research projects for clients.By identifying, collating and analysing data specific to global commodity demand.
