About me
I am an Oxford-graduate writer and visual artist based in Frankfurt, Germany. I am interested in exploring how the way we imagine things changes how we relate to them and I thus investigate the intersection between writing, visual arts, and global media for social change. Through words and images, I aim at challenging perspectives, stimulating conversations, helping people reimagining their hardship by transforming their stories into art, and advocating by finding new ways to imagine social issues for other people to better understand them and relate to them. Employing the powerful potential and possible positive impact of social media has allowed me to collaborate with people from around the world and to thus establish an ongoing dialogue between my creative practice and global, contemporary challenges. My creative projects range across multiple topics and mediums. Interdisciplinarity and intermediality are at the core of the final creations, where word, image, performance and symbolism all complete each other. My current creative practice is a communion of all aspects of my story: it combines an interest for social change with my past experience in theatre and performing arts, as well as in social media and digital communications, and it is framed by my academic background in modern and comparative literature, intersemiotic translation, transmediality, and multimodality.
