I've been working as an artist in various capacities since the spring of 1999. I've been exhibiting for a little longer in both the USA and the UK and have also worked in both countries as an artist and art teacher. I began my artist career as a figurative painter and have evolved into an illustrator and sculptor. My illustrations are now focused on the abstract with a heavy interest in line while my sculptures are a continuing exploration of the known universe and the elements we use to understand it. I'm at a point in my career where I feel I must improve my credentials so I'm currently enrolled in a postgraduate course at Central Saint Martins and also am actively looking for new career changes as my current freelance lifestyle is failing to sustain me.

- MirMarnia - an exploration into parallel universesI've been working on illustrating a series of stories I've been writing over the last decade or so. My illustrations are partly to visualise and help me write and also to refine a practice and learn new methods in enchancing my illustration skills in both the pencil stage and the digital stage.
