Francis Augusto (b. 1993) is an award-winning artist born in Uige, Angola.
Augusto’s work centres on the human experience, emphasising themes of everyday life, interaction, and identity. With a background in sociology and a deep connection to his diverse surroundings, Augusto’s practice takes an ethnographic approach, capturing authentic moments and embracing imperfections.
His work invites viewers to peer into the lives of the subject, fostering deep connections and encouraging personal interpretation. Augusto aims to expand his practice, exploring different facets of the ordinary and new mediums while creating more intimate, vulnerable pieces that spark curiosity and nurture empathy. All with the hope to “celebrate the intricate tapestry of the human experience”.
In addition to my practice, I lecture, critique and provide workshops.

- ADIDAS: ARSENAL RETRO KIT LAUNCHI collaborated with Homeground again, this time on a project for Adidas for the launch of Arsenal's retro kit. Together, we worked meticulously and captured the essence of this iconic release. Homeground's expertise and creativity seamlessly blended with my vision, resulting in a stunning collection of photographs showcasing Arsenal's heritage. We wanted to capture the footballers with 80s and 90s-inspired poses in their retro kit. Working with Homeground was a brilliant experience.

I hadn't done anything remotely close to this, so a big thank you to all involved. The desired result was a collection of images that are colourful, warm and maybe a little feel refreshing.
