From Portugal. London based. Interested in words and letters. I am a typographer and book designer looking to meet people exploring open, collaborative practices. I am happy to chat about any – large or small, speculative or concrete – project you may have. For my day job, I manage Text Design at Penguin Books UK, finessing typographic use across the publishing house group through maintaining and optimising typographic systems and tools, supporting the relationship with book designers and typesetters, and providing creative consultancy based on a deep understanding of font licensing integration in the publishing eco-system. For a number of years, I have been collaborating with independent publishers and studios at several levels on books, magazines, exhibitions, data visualisation, type design, and custom lettering projects.
