I am currently working as an office manager where I am responsible for managing a team of 7 negotiators; organising their diaries, dealing with any complaints or queries they have, sorting out their paperwork, invoicing as well as providing training for any new members of staff. The job requires me to be very personable and organised; I am communicating with clients, photographers, PR companies and other agents on a daily basis on the phone as well as through written correspondences which requires a good attention to detail. I have an excellent grasp of the Microsoft MS Package and Excel as well as a number of other software systems. I am now looking for a change of direction and to move away from property into something a bit different. Most of my experience thus far has been in food, this is ideally the industry that I would like to work in.
A management role where I dealt with the logistics of setting up and running a market; prepared the area before stallholders arrived, carried out health and safety checks, and ensured that all stall holders were happy with their pitch. Tackled problems such as the weather and no-show stallholders and reassigned stalls to fill the empty space. Calculated expenses and profit of the market.
I was in charge of report writing for the organisation; analysing data and creating graphs and charts using Word and Excel.
I worked to a tight publishing schedule; checked the expenses for the food team, took notes in the weekly editorial meetings and transcribed interviews. Researched possible products to be featured in the magazine, edited interviews and tested and reviewed the new products sent in.
I processed and sent orders, banked money and dealt with any problems that occurred with the chocolate production. Redesigned and maintained Amelia Rope's Chocolate online identity. Carried out market research at Amelia Rope stockists. Prepared product information to show potential new retailers.
I gained a valuable insight and practice into the individual roles that are included to make the final effect of promoting a business in the most effective way.
