About me
Funmilayo was born in Italy, where she lived until two year a ago, from two parents of Nigeria. Her origins has allowed her to look at differences with care and attention. For the first ten years of her life she looked intensely at the world without finding the words to tell herself, only to discover that the words were transformed inside her into still images rich in details and precious nuances. She has always tried to look at reality from different, divergent and sometimes uncomfortable positions. Her curiosity for lives of others fills her walks on the streets of London today. She learned to observe gestures, behaviours, movements, posture, facial expression. She makes predictions. She embroiders us on stories.
