I attended Shillington School New York in September 2016. The course dove straight in with design thinking, design principles, typography and colour theory. I was taught theory and software in varied ways from experienced and current teachers. We engaged in presentations, dynamic discussions, guest lectures from industry hotshots, demonstrations and group workshops. We moved fast (1 to 2 days per brief) and were mentored to work smart like real industry designers using the most current software—following clear design processes.
