Hey there! I'm Gabriel Orentas, a Venezuelan-born film composer with Lithuanian roots, currently based in the UK. With three decades of experience in the music industry, I've had the incredible opportunity to blend my diverse cultural backgrounds into my music.
Coming from Venezuela, I grew up surrounded by the lively rhythms and melodies of Latin American music. Those infectious beats and passionate melodies really shaped my musical sensibilities. As I delved deeper into my passion, I also discovered my Lithuanian heritage, embracing the haunting beauty of Baltic harmonies and the rich classical traditions of Northern Europe.
These days, I try to bring this multicultural fusion to my compositions. It's about blending the vibrant Latin American flair with the ethereal tones of Lithuanian influences, creating a musical tapestry in an attempt to transcends borders and speak to audiences worldwide.
One of the key elements of my music is the seamless blend of electronic and classical orchestration. I love exploring the boundless possibilities of electronic sounds, infusing them with the timeless elegance of classical instrumentation. This combination allows me to create rich and evocative soundscapes that enhance the storytelling experience.
Aside from my musical background, my multicultural upbringing has also given me a unique perspective on storytelling. Growing up between different cultures has taught me to appreciate and empathize with diverse narratives, allowing me to truly understand the emotions and messages that filmmakers want to convey.
Collaboration is the heart and soul of my creative process. I thrive on working closely with fellow artists, exchanging ideas, and embracing the beauty of different viewpoints. It's this mix of cultures, experiences, and musical influences that fuels my creativity and drives me to create something truly remarkable.
I'm passionate about crafting scores that transport audiences to new emotional landscapes. It's a genuine honour for me to bring my unique voice to the art of filmmaking, creating an immersive and unforgettable experience for film lovers everywhere.

- Film: "Remember to Blink" - Trailer music.Music composed for the trailer of the upcoming film by Austėja Urbaitė. “Remember to Blink.” For this trailer, the director required a set of very distinctive musical nuances that would reflect the emotional state of the characters but also, would separate the two dramatic blocks presented in the trailer. One of the main ideas was to intrigue and complement the images musically in a very subtle way, and the other, to hold tension without setting foot on thriller territory.
