I am a 23-year-old half Swedish, half American Fashion Media student. I was privileged to grow up in a number of different countries (Sweden, Angola, Tanzania, Mozambique and Nicaragua) during my childhood, because of my parents' work. This has made it easy for me to meet new people and understand a wide variety of cultures and languages. These experiences are something I have great use of in working situations, both in terms of cooperating in a team and also in terms of dealing with clients. My time in retail has given me great confidence and experience with serving customers, encouraging customer loyalty and sales. Participating in the implementation of both retail events and international conferences has taught me a lot about using my own organizational skills for problem solving. I have been chosen in these situations because of my ability to keep track of and take responsibility for many details at once and because I work well under pressure.

Digital Marketing Intern I assist the Communications Director with the brand’s digital platform such as the online store (sales, merchandising and creating products), the online magazine MW Daily and the e-commerce tracker. It is a varied role - I assist in any way possible such as flash/sample sales, the fashion show and shoots relevant to the department.
I was given the opportunity to intern here once a week. I started off taking care of send outs and receiving samples back from press. I did a variety of administrative work; organizing the press office and merchandising the rails, looking through magazines and events for our samples, researching bloggers to send samples to, and managing the diary. When the Press Director became ill for a longer period of time I was given her role temporarily which included all my previous responsibilities plus answering correspondence, setting up meetings with stylists, answering briefs from magazines, making sure the press office was running as smoothly as possible until she was back.
Customer service, creating customer loyalty, organizing and hosting events, helping the store manager with administrative work, manage the team of sales assistants, training of new employees and weighing in on hiring decisions. Made responsible for Merchandising the store and keeping regular contact with the visual merchandising team at head office in Copenhagen. (When the team was in London I worked closely with them and got to take part in decisions because of my insight in to what our customers respond to and expect). Consistently received incentives for high sales performance.
French RTW label worked in the Marylebone store (on Marylebone High Street) and in the Westbourne Grove branch in Notting Hill.
