Building a team of talented journalists, commissioning, editing and working with the art direction and production teams on creating an aspirational, shoppable area of the website to inspire and inform the John Lewis audience. A focus on high quality content, SEO and magazine-quality imagery achieved outstanding results, both commercial and engagement.

• A senior member of a team of eight freelance consultants, I ensure the delivery of the editorial content strategy, from concept to publishing.
• I manage the content calendar, workflow and publishing of all content while making sure stories are aligned with trade priorities and surfaced across John Lewis owned channels – CRM, social, home page and landing/campaign pages.
• I create original narrative menswear content, undertaking all picture research and product curation, before building in the CMS (AEM).
• I oversee the workflow of features through the content and design teams, liaising with and briefing in-house designers.
• I produce and consult on reactive style guides, including the creation of the
Covid-19 response guide. This was adopted by all channels as the company-wide tone
of voice document.
• I monitor content dashboards to optimise SEO potential and update existing articles by identifying potential opportunities for theme pages to maximise search.
• I am the guardian of style and tone, sub-editing and rewriting where necessary and optimising copy for SEO.
