• A senior member of a team of eight freelance consultants, I ensure the delivery of the editorial content strategy, from concept to publishing.
• I manage the content calendar, workflow and publishing of all content while making sure stories are aligned with trade priorities and surfaced across John Lewis owned channels – CRM, social, home page and landing/campaign pages.
• I create original narrative menswear content, undertaking all picture research and product curation, before building in the CMS (AEM).
• I oversee the workflow of features through the content and design teams, liaising with and briefing in-house designers.
• I produce and consult on reactive style guides, including the creation of the
Covid-19 response guide. This was adopted by all channels as the company-wide tone
of voice document.
• I monitor content dashboards to optimise SEO potential and update existing articles by identifying potential opportunities for theme pages to maximise search.
• I am the guardian of style and tone, sub-editing and rewriting where necessary and optimising copy for SEO.
