  • My role with Parliament was extremely varied and gave me the opportunity to utilise my organisational skills. I was an agent/manager to 13 exclusively managed celebrity speakers and their point of contact for all corporate enquiries. To ensure these bookings, I created and maintained stable relationships with other speaker bureaux, providing them with all the necessary information and materials to promote Parliament’s speakers to their clients. I was responsible for the content and design for the quarterly newsletter and monitoring the marketing statistics for the campaigns to ensure the Account Managers were aware of the success of the campaign with their clients. I also created marketing material such as interactive PDF biographies for all the speakers, personalised corporate merchandise and video show reels. I designed material and copy for mail shots, publications, websites and other marketing materials. Alongside my usual duties I was also working closely with a Bournemouth based charity, Round Table Children’s Wish. I worked alongside the charity to organise a large event which took place on 21st August 2009, held in the Pavilion Theatre on Bournemouth’s seafront. It was a large project and as the Event Coordinator I had the pressures of organising print and web design, venue hire, security, entertainment, AV equipment, press, administration plus many other aspects of event organisation.
