Buyer for Accessories  Currently a key member of a highly motivated team. Driving and developing forward thinking yet commercially balanced ranges.  Stock value responsibility £21 million.  Working with third party brands and own brand products to create a good strong pricing architecture and a variable range to offer our consumers.  A strong passion for product with a commercial eye, creative flair and an obsession for detail.  Creating plans and buying strategies for the season with merchandising, considering KPI’s, category mix, structure, product opportunities, margin and suppliers.  Working with the HOB to ensure a good balance of COO, prices, product types and lead times.  Run quarterly meetings with suppliers to build stronger relationships and encourage repeat business and better prices, including deal buys.  Constantly evaluating upcoming ranges, anticipating commercial impact of decisions, suggesting appropriate actions to maximise sales, avoiding terminal stock and high mark down costs.  We plan sales throughout the year, based on stock levels, MOQ, lead times and forecast. Each sale is worked through with the merchandising team, store planners and retail to ensure all parties are happy with how the sale will be put into effect.  Daily management of the critical path, taking appropriate actions to avoid delays, working closely with suppliers to ensure premature warning. To plan and liaise with relevant teams if delays occur and work together to come up with solutions.  The distribution of each range is discussed and planned at length with myself, the store planners and merchandisers. Looking into the sales figures based on location. Ensuring to keep within the store hierarchy.  I work closely and collaboratively within the wider business (e-commerce, marketing and retail), for new range launches and promotional products. Ensuring important messages are briefed to the ecommerce team and planned into the trading calendar to be promoted on the web home page. Any sale pots on the website are briefed to us and we work with the team to provide an accurate and relevant pot of products, based on stock availability and performance.  Currently managing a small buying team – Weekly catch ups are conducted to create goals and discuss achievements. Currently using my recent training on management to motivate, develop and coach the team to drive performance and to ensure they enjoy their job.
