I am a knitted textiles designer with a first class BA (Hons) degree in Fashion Textiles and Accessories. My focus is on sourcing high quality, natural fibre yarns to produce luxury fabrics for fashion. I am always willing to expand my knowledge of both fibres and techniques to be the very best that I can be in my field. I pride myself on the intricacy of my designs; working mainly on fine gauge machinery.

For this role I worked on an eight gauge Stoll handflat knitting machine
producing fabric samples for women’s fashion. Using WGSN I researched current trend forecasts before sampling ideas that reflected these. Samples were then discussed with the manager before progressing to final samples which were finished with shoulder trims and necklines attached with a linker. During my time at Acorn I sold work to Oscar De La Renta in New York.

In my role as a sales assistant I helped to process deliveries, work in the stock room, work on the fitting rooms and assist customers on the shop floor. I managed my allocated section to ensure product was hung and folded properly and maintained a neat and tidy shop floor environment whilst keeping to tight time restrictions.
