About me
I am a confident, approachable and experienced production co-ordinator looking to further my career in production with a particular interest in post-production. I am self-motivated and hardworking with excellent organisational skills and the ability to use my initiative when working alone on tasks and making decisions. I also understand the importance of collaboration and teamwork and am inspired by working with like-minded people. I have strong management skills and am able to delegate tasks, prioritise workloads and complete projects correctly and efficiently within budget. With a passion for creating engaging content, together with my skills and experience working with multiple different brands across the advertising and fashion industry, I would thrive in this type of role and be an asset to any team.

After being promoted the this role within the same company, I managed multiple client accounts on my own working on TVCs, cinema and radio ads, social and digital campaigns, as well as print advertising and visual identity projects. I arranged kick-off meetings with the client to better understand their goals in creating digital and social campaigns, TVCs and visual identities from ideation to delivery. This involved drafting budgets and updating the client throughout on budget tracking, overages and project timelines. I was responsible for co-ordinating production teams for each shoot and resourcing and managing a team of freelance staff from video editors to animators in the post-production phase. I had a strong presence in this stage, allocating staff to projects, briefing each person on the job, giving creative input, writing copy and proof-reading / quality checking all material before it was sent to the client for approval as well as occasionally making video edits myself using Adobe Premiere Pro. I also personally obtained new business for the agency with a hair care brand and spearheaded the creation of their social campaign.

I assisted the production manager and creative director on TVC and photography shoots, as well as helped to manage a range of visual identity and re-branding projects for our clients. My main role was to resource freelance staff such as storyboard artists, photographers, DOPs, MUA and hair stylists, as well as recruiting post-production teams of animators, motion graphic designers and video editors. I also helped out on shoots, standing in for actors, taking food and drink orders, ordering equipment, arranging travel and also gained experience in looking after / working with children on set. Prior to each shoot I was responsible for ensuring that the appropriate insurance and license agreements were obtained and that health and risk assessments were correctly filled out.

This degree varied from theoretical and practical work. Theoretically I learnt about the current state of the arts industry, e.g funding, the arts council and restrictions it has on creativity. I completed modules in actor training, where I studied the work of Stanislavski, Growtowski and Meyerhold through research and physical practice. In more practical terms, I gained invaluable insight into applied theatre with children through devising performances within schools and studied the methods of drama therapy, completing a work placement at Wakefield's women's prison. This involved co-ordinating and leading collaborative workshops with the inmates. For my dissertation I chose to combine two things which interest me greatly, performance and history. I therefore used three case studies of museum theatre and bringing history to life in three heritage sites, including Bletchley Park, Blenheim Palace and my own exhibition at the Special Collections Department at the University of Leeds.
