Leading on from a six-month internship I gained the position of Account Manager, co-ordinating the end to end process of planning and delivering digital advertising campaigns. Encompassing both operational and client services responsibilities, my tasks include:
- Manage several campaigns at any one time with individual budgets upwards of £150k and including accounts such as HM Government, Volkswagen, PepsiCo and Mulberry.
- Directly manage an intern, acting as a mentor and coordinating their workflow.
- Fully activating online video and display advertising campaigns delivered across the world’s most premium publishers, including the implementation of audience, contextual and behavioural targeting.
- Consulting with clients to develop effective strategies to best reach objectives.
- Act as the main point of contact for each campaign, requiring the coordination of multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Risk identification and mitigation. Ensure that campaign briefs are achievable within user targeting, budget and time constraints.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, helped by ensuring delivery and performance targets are reached and exceeded.
- Analyse large datasets to identify and offer actionable performance insights.
- Enhance video and display advertising content through building in rich media functionality.
During this time my achievements have included:
- Managing over £3m programmatic spend during 2018, the highest revenue achieved across a team of ten Account Managers within the UK office. A further £1.5m of revenue was managed through direct buys over the same period.
- Managed a high impact campaign for the National Lottery’s rebranding in 2018, delivering over 10 million video views within the UK during an 18-hour period. Risk mitigation was key for this project in order to ensure that the target was reached within strict time constraints.
- Developed a post-campaign reporting template that better suited smaller campaigns, driving team efficiency. The template was adopted and used by Account Management teams across 25 offices around the world.
- Delivered £520k media spend for McDonalds during 2018. Through continually meeting performance and delivery targets, the business relationship grew significantly over the year and revenue increased from £50k during Q1 to over £260k during Q4.
From October 2017, I have also acted as Product Expert for the UK Office. The main responsibility of the role is to offer internal consultation on Teads’ suite of advertising products, from helping a salesperson choose the right format for reaching a client’s KPI to guiding the operations team through correct practices.
