I am an experienced video editor/producer with an extensive understanding of the entire production process, from both creative and technical viewpoints. I thrive on developing ideas and creating content, be it collaboratively or independently, from conception through to delivery and I take great pride in being able utilise my varied skillset to provide a high degree of flexibility to my colleagues and clients. I have a great deal of experience working on commercial projects for high-profile clients, and have built on this recently by moving over to an editorial environment at an international tech startup, covering 10 genre verticals.
I have worked with some of the world’s biggest broadcasters and companies to create short films, promos, brand films, explainers, title sequences, and corporate communications for broadcast, film and online - one of which won a bronze Promax UK award for Best Foreign Promo in 2013.
Projects
- BBC Knowledge Explainer: PregnancyThis explainer film was commissioned by the BBC as part of a pilot project for BBC Knowledge & Learning, and it aims to enlighten the viewer on the fascinating truth of how we all develop from just one single cell. This project also brought with it a fair number of technical challenges, not least how on earth to visualise a growing foetus without neither the time nor the money for either illustrations or 3D character animation. Thankfully, the Science Photo Library had just what we needed, a series of stock images of a 3D modelled foetus at various stages of development, and it's these images (along with a handful more of actual specimens) that largely dictated the backbone to the narrative of that part of the film, as we knew exactly what we'd be able to show. The flat images didn't quite cut it for our needs though, so with the help of good old Photoshop they were cut out, their limbs were separated, and a lot of the detail from underneath them was painted back in to give us some freedom when moving the 3D camera in After Effects around the now pseudo-3D assets.
Work history
Video Producer
- London, United KingdomFull Time
As one half of Culture Trip’s UK Editorial & Commercial production team, I worked to establish their fledgling video department both in terms of content output, and workflow and processes. The role had large communicative demands, as I was working under the Head of Video in the New York office, and collaborated with 10 genre editors and the commercial team to develop, produce and deliver projects. I was also solely responsible for my own output, both in terms of selecting and developing my projects, through to production and delivery, making full use of my self-shooting production experience.

- London, United KingdomFull Time
Following a successful freelance stint, I was invited to join Marmalade's team full-time as a Production Editor & Creative, with my main responsibilities being to enable Marmalade to bring a number of their productions in-house, and to provide a valuable bridge between creative and production. My duties covered the full production cycle, from creative development, through to post production - including research, storyboarding, script writing, animatics, motion graphics, lighting, shooting and audio post production.
During my time at Marmalade, I worked on projects for clients such as Coca-Coca, EY and Plan International UK.
