Conference Coordinator, The New York TimesLondon, United Kingdom
About me
I am a conscientious worker with an eye for detail, and keen to develop my knowledge of the business world. The various roles I have had to date, in particular my time at The New York Times, have been invaluable in providing me with the knowledge of what it is to work within fast paced industries and produce high-level B2B events. I have demonstrated that I am quick to come up to speed and can think on my feet in challenging situations. I graduated from Durham University in June 2017 with a 2:1 in Modern Languages (French and Italian). I spent seven months travelling around South and Central America as well as Indonesia in 2018, before moving to London to undertake the role of Administration Coordinator, International Conferences at The New York Times. At The New York Times, I participated in the logistical running of both the Oil&Money conference in London as well as the International Luxury Conference in Hong Kong. This included the management of budgets, administrative duties as well as liaising with the legal and financial teams based in New York. During my year abroad, as part of my language degree, I worked at Communic’Art, an art and design PR agency in Paris, before moving to Rome to work as an intern reporter for Vatican Radio. Both of these internships as well as running the Durham University Charity Fashion Show (DUCFS) in my final year of university have taught me the importance of working in a team cohesively in order to achieve our goals to the highest possible level. As Vice President of DUCFS we raised in excess of £75,000 for the International Rescue Committee. It is now the highest grossing student charity event in the UK. I am hugely adaptable, and willing to take on responsibility. I am hard working and keen to be considered for any suitable roles. I will do my upmost to make my next position a huge success.
