I am a recent Fashion Textiles graduate looking for interning and employment experience within production.
My responsibilities included managing all food stock levels for the restaurant. This allowed me to create relationships with suppliers and organise deliveries. I lead a food hygiene inspection, achieving the highest level. Following this I then had to find solutions to the problems found during the inspection. I was also responsible to for the training and development of new employees. Ensuring all till procedures were correct involved cash flow management, regular banking and till reports. I was responsible for restaurant visuals and layout, ensuring the styling of food was appealing. Maintaining and managing cooking equipment required me to liaise with a variety of companies. Over 6 years I continued to build a regular customer base. I worked here part time whilst completing my studies during school, sixth form and my art foundation year. Because of this my organisational skills are very strong.
I assisted customers with styling and sales advice. Working at the flagship store for a national high street chain allowed me to learn the logistics involved in fashion manufacturing. I helped with preparation for audits. I gained a solid knowledge of stock organisation, preparing for sales and changes in store layout are paramount to the success of the business.
Attended London and Paris fashion week assisting with show room duties, meeting and liasing with buyers about the new collection. Assisted with the print design for the current and future collections. This included helping print actual garments for production, as well as editing and producing print files on photoshop. I helped source new fabrics, and developed new textile ideas. Liasing with dye factories and providing solutions to issues with colourations of fabrics. Stock management, archiving of patterns and general organisation of the studio. Time management plans and forecasting schedules for garment construction.
