About me

Self-motivated and determined Fashion graduate looking to apply skills in the creative industry. I have an in depth knowledge of pattern cutting and construction as well as Photoshop and illustrator skills. Nothing makes me feel more passionate about being creative than getting completely immersed in a project and giving it my all. I like to experiment with new techniques and am a true believer in serendipity. I also enjoy creative writing and have submitted a few articles to online magazines, I reap a lot of inspiration from books and articles as well as exhibitions and museum visits. My other love is travel. I have recently returned from a 6 month stint in South-East Asia. I began travelling alone and met people along the way. It has been an invaluable experience in terms of self discovery and inspiration. I live to create.

Education

2012

Fashion and Textiles with Enterprise

University of Portsmouth

Aug 2009 - May 2012
  • During my degree we enrolled onto enterprise modules, this comprised of setting up my own fashion and print company with a creative team. I now know how to compose. a business plan and work with potential customers and suppliers. I was also the creative director which meant I had to learn how to develop company branding and promotional materials. I have also collaborated with other designers such as Charlotte Taylor which has enabled me to work to someone else's brief. The course has allowed. me to visit trend forecasting events such as Pure London and Premier Vision in Paris which proved invaluable to my designs and criteria processes. On completion of my FMP I was amongst those chosen to showcase my collection at New Desigmers in London.
