About me
In my design I pride myself on respecting and conserving historical dress through innovative design, combining current trends, past fashions and new ideas. Striving to maintain a space where a creative attitude and respect for good dressmaking is achieved. I have worked as a seamstress at a textile alteration shop for two years and inturned at Yang Li. As well as studying I have had a freelance buisness for the past two years which is primarily illustration based. I am a 2020 graduate from the University for the Creative Arts Epsom with a First Class Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fashion.
Projects
  • Print Commition for Cat O'Brien
Print Commition for Cat O'BrienI was asked to make a commition comprised of several illustrations. I recieved a detailed brief about each illustration which I worked to whilst keeping my own style. I re-coloured the print on photoshop which was Cat O'Brien used on her ready to wear corset's and T-shirts, sold on her website.
  • 'Purple Heads' Illustration commitions and prints
'Purple Heads' Illustration commitions and printsSome of these illustrations have been commitioned, others have not, however they all share a common theme. My illustrations have been printed on various garments such as hoodies and T-shirts, and sold to the public over the past two years.
  • 'Selling Her Oranges'
'Selling Her Oranges'I enjoyed completing my graduate collection from home due to COVID-19. It made me broaden my skillset, learning to work independantly and know the value of collaboration. ‘Selling Her Oranges’ is inspired by the promiscuous Nell Gwynn, mistress to Charles II. I wanted to explore the controversial presence, even glorification, of adultery within the otherwise enforced monogamy of an aristocratic society. Focusing on the most vulnerable member of the relationship, I explored the life of someone
