Since graduating with my Creative Writing degree in 2013, I have continued to write as a freelance journalist and I have my own blog which I have been running for the past 5 years. I designed this blog myself, provide the photography where possible and have written all of the content. For both my blog and the other outlets I contribute to, I have interviewed a variety of interesting people and brands, both on and off camera. in 2013 I co-founded SafeToNet, a tech start-up which works to safeguard children online from predators, groomers, bullies and other undesirables that lurk on the internet! The company is still growing strong, but it was my love for the food, drink, fashion and lifestyle industry that lead me to seek a new career path at the beginning of this year. I am looking for a career that allows me to grow and develop my creative skills set and utilise my writing skills.Locked Pro Plan feature
SafeToNet Limited is an award-winning British technology company and the creator of the world’s first sext filtering software. We are setting the standard for e-safety and informed safeguarding of children online through technological innovation and expert advice. SafeToNet’s software liberates children so they can fully engage with and benefit from exploring the internet without fear of exploitation, molestation, or extortion. Our mission is to safeguard children from harmful content in real-time, preventing the damage before it’s done. My role predominantly saw me working on content creation, PR and marketing. I stepped back from the role in December 2017 to persue a more creative career in line with my food, drink and lifestyle interests.
At Sauce I was working with high profile clients in the restaurant industry, including celebrity chefs and fine dining groups. My responsibilities included writing copy and press releases, chef biographies, generating creative ideas for PR campaigns, liaising with restaurant teams to curate news hooks and creating content and coverage reports for the clients.
