About me
Georgie Stewart is a freelance illustrator currently based in London.
An affection for the vernacular is an important theme in Georgie’s work. Her images seek to electrify the ordinary moments of everyday life, conveying a sense of wonder for the world around us.
Georgie has a penchant for Caran d’Ache pastels, and can often be found people-watching and sketching everywhere she goes. Her shelves are filled with sketchbooks and journals documenting her thoughts and ideas with a particular focus on travel, observational drawing, dreams, animals and relationships.
After obtaining a masters degree in Contemporary Art at Sotheby’s Institute of Art in 2019, Georgie has now completed an MA in Illustration at Camberwell College of Art. For her final degree project she produced her first book ‘More Joy’, an illustrated anthology celebrating simple pleasures and the ways in which they allow us to find the extraordinary in the ordinary.
