- Creating sampling packs (tech packs, patterns, all trims, fusings, linings and fabrics) and communicating directly with local factory reps
- Communicating with factories on a daily basis regarding sampling follow up
- Completing costings and calculating RRP of each style for the Senior Designer to review
- Overseeing the outfit order, changes and care for each garment at the photoshoots for both brands
- Selecting, editing and resizing photoshoot images for website sales
- Rendering look books for printing on InDesign
- Creating order forms for Australian/NZ wholesale buyers
- Completing minor pattern adjustments or working with freelance pattern makers for changes needed prior to hand off
- Fitting and reviewing samples on self and other staff to determine trim suitability, addressing any fit or construction issues; solving and updating tech pack notes for hand off
- Carrying out wash tests and devising care label text specific to each style
- Drawing, fitting and measuring knitwear specs for off shore (China) sampling/production
- General maintenance of the design studio; keeping it tidy and keeping common lining, fusing and button options in stock
