    · Managing the path of fabric development from proto development through SMS stage and into sealer ensuring all departments have the raw materials they need in order to hit the key dates in the development critical path across the menswear and womenswear collection · Supporting the design team with developing and sourcing the correct raw materials for the collection · Liaising daily with external suppliers and agents to source and develop cloth as well as negotiate production minimums and costs · Working alongside Product Development and Merchandising to ensure that the selected fabrics meet the commercial needs of the business as well as fulfilling the creative brief set by the design team · Reacting to feedback from Merchandising and Product Development to redevelop or resource when lower costs are required · Analysing previous sales figures to ascertain areas which can be developed more within the range and discussing previous problems with production in order to ensure previous production problems are not repeated · Working closely with production and the garment technician when the collection is handed over from sampling to production to make sure all necessary information is correlated and any foreseen problems are communicated · Working to a set budget for the season and regularly reporting back to ensure all parties know of the current level of spending. Regularly updating a tracker to show the projected cost based on order quantities and the correlation of this figure to final invoice amount · Daily use of Excel for costs management, order raising, seasonal analysis and trackers for workflow management
